JSW Steel’s consolidated crude steel output rose 17pct year-on-year to 2.703 mln tons in August 2025, the company said in a stock exchange filing.
Production from Indian operations increased 16pct to 2.615 mln tons, with capacity utilization reaching 95pct for the month. The rise was supported by the commissioning of a second converter at its subsidiary JSW Vijayanagar Metallics.
JSW Steel USA-Ohio also reported higher output of 88,000 tons, up from 67,000 tons a year earlier.
JSW Steel’s consolidated crude steel capacity stands at 35.7 mln tons per annum, including 1.5 mln tons in the U.S., with plans to expand to 43.4 mln tons within three years.
