Turkey imported 2.27 mln tons of hot-rolled coil (HRC) in the first seven months of 2025, up 3.5pct YoY, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
China was the top supplier with 914,800 tons, followed by Russia at 515,100 tons, Egypt with 277,800 tons, and South Korea at 219,000 tons.
In July 2025, Turkey’s HRC imports surged to 411,400 tons, up from 156,300 tons a year earlier and 43pct higher than the previous month.
