India’s state-owned NMDC Ltd produced 3.75 mln tons of iron ore in September 2025, up 23.4pct YoY from 3.04 mln tons a year earlier. Sales also rose 9.6pct to 3.88 mln tons.
In the first half of FY26 (April-September), output increased to 22.2 mln tons compared with 17.47 mln tons in the same period last year, while sales climbed to 22.25 mln tons from 19.8 mln tons.
Operating three fully mechanized mines in Chhattisgarh and Karnataka, NMDC has an annual production capacity of about 35 mln tons.
