Hascelik has inaugurated a new sustainability-focused melt shop in the Bilecik Osmaneli Organized Industrial Zone, backed by an investment of USD 175 mln. The plant will produce specialty steel for the automotive, defense, rail, and aerospace industries.
Chairman and CEO Adnan Naci Faydasicok said the facility represents a major step toward environmentally responsible production. Equipped with horizontal scrap charging, magnetic stirrer furnaces, and reverse osmosis water recovery systems, the plant is designed to produce Turkey’s “greenest steel.”
He added that Hascelik is already prepared for compliance with the EU’s upcoming Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism.
Hascelik is Turkey’s major exporter of bright steel and a major producer of hot-rolled special steel, cold-worked bright steel, and grinding balls.
