Metalloinvest’s OEMK has completed a scheduled overhaul of two metallization units at its pelletizing and metallization facility.
The work at shaft furnaces No. 3 and No. 4 involved replacing and restoring key components, including metal structures, linings, drives, and control systems. The project was carried out on time with the participation of around 300 specialists from the plant’s repair services, contractors, and the Federal Agency for Metallurgical Engineering, the company said.
The overhaul forms part of Metalloinvest’s broader maintenance and repair program, which covers all production sites. Earlier this year, the company also completed major repairs of hot briquetted iron (HBI) units at Lebedinsky GOK. The program is aimed at ensuring stable operations and strengthening Metalloinvest’s competitiveness in the mining and metals sector.
