India’s Jindal Steel has appointed Gautam Malhotra as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with immediate effect, according to a stock exchange filing on Tuesday.
The appointment was approved by the company’s board of directors. Malhotra, who joined Jindal Steel in May 2024, has since worked across multiple functions, including mining, production, human resources, logistics, technology, AI integration, and sales, the company said.
Jindal Steel currently has a total consolidated steelmaking capacity of 12.6 million tons per annum.
