Turkish steelmaker Kardemir has opened a new billet sales round, keeping prices unchanged from those announced on October 15.
The company offered S235JR grade billets at USD 500 per ton EXW and B420 grade billets at USD 510 per ton EXW.
Market sources said Kardemir sold substantial volumes during the round before closing sales shortly after opening.
Established in 1937, Kardemir is a key player in Turkey’s steel industry, with a 3.5 mln tons annual production capacity. The company manufactures billets, blooms, rebars, profiles and other steel products at its Karabuk-based facilities.
