Hengyang Valin has selected Danieli to supply two SDM cutting lines for integration into what will become the world’s largest seamless pipe mill, now under construction in China.
The order includes one billet-cutting line with two machines and another for tube-layer cutting. Both lines will be linked to the FQM retained-mandrel mill, designed to produce more than 800,000 tons of seamless pipes annually in diameters of 323.8-610 mm and wall thicknesses up to 65 mm.
Danieli’s FQM (Fine Quality Mill) technology is central to achieving precise dimensions and high-quality output for applications in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
The cutting lines will include SDM vertical saw units, cut-to-length systems, hydraulic stations, and automatic crop removal, with automation and process control supplied by Danieli Automation.
Startup is planned for 2026.
