Turkey imported 2.93 mln tons of HRC in the first nine months of 2025, up 10pct YoY, according to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
China remained the largest supplier with 1.1 mln tons, followed by Russia at 711,500 tons, Egypt at 345,000 tons and South Korea at 239,200 tons.
In September 2025, Turkey’s HRC imports rose sharply to 368,600 tons, compared with 225,000 tons a year earlier, and were also up 27pct from August.
