Assent Steel Industries, a UAE-based structural steel fabricator and supplier, signed a musataha agreement with Dubai Industrial City to expand its operations and increase fabrication capacity in the emirate. A musataha agreement is a long-term property arrangement in the UAE that allows investors to develop and use land owned by another party for an extended period.
The agreement was signed during Make it in the Emirates 2026. Under the expansion plan, the company will invest an additional AED 120 mln (USD 33 mln) over the next three years, bringing its total investment in Dubai Industrial City to AED 406 mln (USD 110.5 mln).
The expansion will add around 2.2 mln square feet of new development, increasing Assent Steel’s total occupied space in Dubai Industrial City to approximately 5.1 mln square feet. The new facility is expected to become operational by the second quarter of 2028.
Following completion, the company’s structural steel fabrication capacity is expected to increase from around 100,000 tons per year to approximately 130,000 tons per year, supporting demand from infrastructure and energy projects in international markets.
The expanded facility will incorporate advanced fabrication technologies, including automated welding systems, laser cutting equipment, and integrated digital production systems aimed at improving efficiency and productivity.
Assent Steel Industries, established in 2008 as part of ASGC Group, is a Dubai-based structural steel fabricator operating a 2.7 mln square foot facility.
