Blastr Green Steel (Blastr) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Vogten Staal, a leading European steel service center, for the annual supply of ultra-low CO2 steel.
This partnership will provide Vogten’s customers with access to Blastr’s sustainable steel while benefiting from Vogten’s steel refinement services, including pickling of hot-rolled material. Vogten’s facilities in Maastricht, the Netherlands, are strategically located with strong transport links by river, rail, and truck.
Vogten Staal recently expanded with a second production facility. Once fully operational, both plants will have a combined annual capacity of over 1 mln tons, supported by three cut-to-length lines, two push-pull pickling lines, a slitting line, and four shears.
Blastr aims to produce 2.5 mln tons of ultra-low CO2 steel annually, utilizing Nordic resources and circular economy principles. Blastr Green Steel is a subsidiary of Vanir Green Industries.
