Pakistan imported 370,482 tons of finished steel in August 2025, more than double the 173,876 tons recorded in the same month last year, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) data shows. Imports also rose nearly 8pct compared to July.
In the first eight months of 2025, finished steel imports totaled 2.63 mln tons, up 40.5pct YoY.
