ORI Martin has awarded Danieli a contract to supply a new CMC 1300 cold shear for its Ospitaletto plant in Italy, upgrading the final cutting stage of its bar finishing line.
The 1,300-ton cold shear will cut bar layers to commercial lengths. Danieli’s scope includes the shear, drive unit, tail evacuation system, blade-changing equipment, piping and electrical equipment, as well as dismantling the existing unit and installing and commissioning the replacement.
The new shear features a start-stop drive design intended to reduce maintenance requirements and costs while improving equipment reliability and plant efficiency.
