Hyundai Engineering & Construction has secured a USD 389 mln contract from the Saudi Electricity Company to build 380kV transmission lines supporting solar power generation.
The projects include two transmission networks: a 311-kilometer line in the Medina region, connecting a planned inland solar power plant to a substation near Medina, and a 180-kilometer line in the Jeddah region, linking a solar power plant in Qurayyat to the power grid near Mecca.
Both projects are scheduled for completion by November 2027.
