Metal Park launches phase two to expand industrial ecosystem in Abu Dhabi

Metal Park has announced the launch of phase two of its integrated industrial ecosystem on the opening day of Make it in the Emirates 2026, aiming to support international companies in establishing and scaling operations in the UAE without upfront capital investment.

Following the rollout of phase one, the expansion will add more than 700,000 sq. ft. of industrial units focused on metal processing and fabrication, reinforcing Metal Park’s plug-and-play, pay-as-you-go operating model.

The development aligns with the UAE’s industrial strategy by enabling manufacturers to enter the market with lower capital commitments, shifting from asset ownership to flexible utilization. CEO Vahid Fouladkar said the model allows companies to begin operations quickly and scale in line with demand.

Phase two will also expand storage capacity by over 130,000 tons, taking total capacity across Abu Dhabi and Fujairah to nearly 450,000 tons. The company’s fulfilment model offers storage on a per ton or volume basis, reducing the need for fixed space or long-term contracts.

In parallel, Metal Park is strengthening its logistics network through a dual-hub structure spanning Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD) and Fujairah, aimed at improving supply chain resilience and enabling integrated import, export and distribution flows within a single system.

Additional facilities under phase two include expanded business, community and support centres, providing services such as maintenance, testing and packaging to companies operating within the ecosystem.

The company said the expansion marks the next stage in its development, scaling capacity and enhancing connectivity across the UAE’s industrial value chain.

Based in Abu Dhabi, Metal Park operates as an integrated metals ecosystem offering storage, processing and fabrication facilities under a pay-as-you-go model, with direct connectivity to Khalifa Port and Etihad Rail. Its storage hub, launched in 2025, provides on-demand warehousing solutions aimed at reducing logistics and inventory costs for manufacturers.
