Vardhman Special Steels Limited (VSSL) has approved the establishment of a new steel forging unit in Punjab, supporting the company’s growth and diversification strategy.
The proposed facility will cater to high-growth sectors such as automotive, engineering, railways, defence, and industrial equipment. It will be equipped with advanced forging technology, modern heat treatment systems, and stringent quality control processes to meet global standards.
VSSL said the investment will strengthen vertical integration by combining its special steel manufacturing capabilities with downstream forging, improving efficiency, enhancing customer value, and reducing reliance on external suppliers. The project is also expected to generate employment and support regional economic development in Punjab.
Part of the Vardhman Group, VSSL is headquartered in Ludhiana and produces over 150 grades of alloy and special steels, including hot-rolled bars, bright bars, case-hardening steels, and bearing steels.
