JSW Steel reported a 6 pct YoY increase in consolidated crude steel production to 7.48 mln tons in Q3 FY26, according to a stock exchange filing.
The company said Blast Furnace 3 (BF3) at its Vijayanagar plant has been shut since the end of September 2025 for a capacity upgrade and is expected to be commissioned by the end of Q4 FY26. The shutdown affected capacity utilization at the company’s Indian operations during the quarter. Excluding BF3, capacity utilization stood at 93pct, while including BF3 capacity, it was 85pct in Q3 FY26.
JSW Steel’s USA-Ohio operations produced 200,000 tons in the quarter, compared with 210,000 tons a year earlier.
In the first nine months of FY26, the company’s consolidated steel production rose 12 pct YoY to 22.65 mln tons.
JSW Steel’s consolidated crude steel capacity stands at 35.7 mln tons per annum, including 1.5 mln tons in the U.S., with plans to expand to 43.4 mln tons within three years.
