UAE’s RACS Quality Certificates Issuing Services LLC is now fully authorized by Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MOIAT) to provide Emirates Conformity Assessment Scheme (ECAS) and Emirates Quality Mark (EQM) Certification for steel products used in the UAE construction sector, the company said in a statement to MEsteel.com.
Operating under certificate N-25-318369 since October 1, 2025, RACS is authorized to issue mandatory ECAS and EQM certifications for reinforcement steel supplied or imported into the Emirates by domestic and international manufacturers and distributors.
The ECAS scheme ensures reinforcement steel meets strict standards for strength, durability, and sustainability, with enhanced traceability supporting a safer, better-regulated construction sector.
RACS’s cloud-based framework offers a strategic advantage for foreign suppliers, particularly those facing compliance hurdles with non-UAE legal structures. This digital accessibility maintains high quality standards while streamlining market entry for international suppliers.
As the first notified body under MOIAT, RACS aligns regional industrial products with international safety benchmarks. The UAE-based organization specializes in GCC and global quality assurance, providing comprehensive ECAS, EQM, and SASO SQM certification services from its Dubai international headquarters and regional offices in Saudi Arabia, Germany, and India.
