Turkish steelmaker Kardemir has lowered wire rod prices in its latest sales round, according to the company’s updated price list.
Kardemir is now offering 5.5 mm SAE 1006 grade wire rod at USD 597 per ton EXW, while 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grades are priced at USD 587 per ton EXW, marking a USD 18 per ton reduction compared with prices announced in early December.
Founded in 1937, Kardemir is a major steel player in Turkey with a production capacity of 3.5 mln tons per year. The company produces blooms, billets, rebars, wire rods, profiles along with other steel products. The company’s production facilities are located in Karabuk.
