Tajikistan’s pipe manufacturing firm, Sughd Metal plant has reached and exceeded its designed production capacity, supported by advanced OTO tube mill technology supplied by Fives, positioning the facility as a high-performance hub in Central Asia’s metals industry.
Located in the Bobodjon-Gafurov district, the integrated plant combines metal cutting, processing, tube manufacturing and packaging, with an annual target of 100,000 tons of welded steel tubes. This output has been achieved through the continuous operation of two OTO tube mills engineered by Fives.
Since start-up, the mills have delivered high availability, stable operation and consistent tube quality, exceeding conventional performance standards. Sughd Metal said the collaboration has supported faster market entry and expanded commercial opportunities across Central Asia.
Sughd Metal, inaugurated in early 2025, was developed to localize metal production. The plant has annual capacity of 100,000 tons of welded steel tubes and profiles.
