Fushun Special Steel Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of Shagang Group, has granted final acceptance to Kocks for its 3-roll Reducing & Sizing Block (RSB 370++/4), marking the successful integration of the new block into regular production.
The RSB 370++/4 is a core element of the modernization of Fushun’s SBQ rolling mill in Liaoning province. Designed for an annual capacity of 600,000 tons, the mill produces straight bars ranging from 14 mm to 92 mm in diameter, targeting high-end applications that require tight dimensional tolerances, high surface quality and consistent performance.
Fushun Special Steel said the commissioning strengthens its position in the superalloy and ultra-high-strength steel segments, particularly for aerospace and other demanding industries. The new block is expected to enhance product quality, production flexibility and operational stability. Kocks’ supply also included remote-controlled automatic stand and guide adjustment, along with Bamicon Octopus software and hardware to support roll shop setup processes.
With the RSB now fully operational, Fushun aims to further expand its capabilities in the SBQ segment and reinforce its position as a leading supplier of premium long products.
