British Steel supplies sections for major industrial development at Immingham

British Steel has supplied 480 tons of structural steel sections to a major industrial and logistics development at Associated British Ports’ Helm site in Immingham, described as one of the most significant regional projects in decades.

The development, located at the Stallinborough Interchange on a 227-acre site near British Steel’s Scunthorpe works, is being delivered through customer Billington Structures. The steel will be used to construct eight industrial and logistics units ranging in size from around 4,800 to 26,800 square feet.

Situated close to the ports of Immingham and Grimsby, the scheme is expected to attract businesses from sectors including energy, engineering, manufacturing and port logistics, supporting job creation in the Humber region. Construction began in December 2025 and is scheduled to continue into early 2026.
