EMSTEEL has renewed its long-term freight agreement with Oldendorff Carriers, extending a partnership spanning more than 20 years.
Under the renewed five-year contract, valued at around AED 600 mln (USD 163 mln), Oldendorff Carriers will continue to handle the seaborne transport of key raw materials for EMSTEEL. The agreement is aimed at ensuring reliable and efficient logistics, strengthening supply-chain resilience and supporting stable, competitive steel production in the region.
EMSTEEL said dependable industrial logistics play a broader role in the UAE’s manufacturing ecosystem, underpinning infrastructure delivery, economic diversification and long-term industrial growth. The company added that the renewed partnership supports its focus on operational continuity and sustainability over the coming years.
Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, EMSTEEL has an annual production capacity of 3.5 mln tons of steel and 4.6 mln tons of cement. The group exports to more than 70 markets, which account for around 30pct of total sales, and offers a broad portfolio of steel products including wire rod, rebar, heavy sections and sheet piles.
