Noksel Steel Pipe has won the Mersin-Mut Natural Gas Pipeline steel pipe procurement tender finalized by Petroleum Pipeline Transportation Inc. (Botas), submitting a bid of TRY 2.69 bln (USD 61.4 mln), according to local media reports.
The tender covers the supply of 168,685 meters of 40-inch steel pipe for the approximately 160 km pipeline extending from Mut to the Akdeniz district, aimed at delivering natural gas to Silifke and Erdemli.
Founded in 1987, Noksel produces steel pipes for both domestic and international markets. The company operates four production facilities, three in Turkey with a combined annual capacity of 750,000 tons, and one in Spain with a capacity of 150,000 tons.
