India’s state-owned miner NMDC Ltd reported higher iron ore output and sales in February 2026, according to a stock exchange filing.
The company produced 5.35 mln tons of iron ore during the month, compared with 4.62 mln tons in February 2025. Sales increased 15.6pct YoY to 4.6 mln tons.
For the April-February period of FY2025-26, NMDC’s production rose to 47.79 mln tons from 40.49 mln tons in the corresponding period last year, while cumulative sales grew 10.3pct YoY to 44.34 mln tons.
NMDC operates three fully mechanized mines in Chhattisgarh and Karnataka, with an annual production capacity exceeding 45 mln tons.
