Tenaris has invested around USD 10 mln to fully refurbish the five-layer thermal insulation line at its Onne plant in Rivers State, Nigeria.
The upgraded line supported Tenaris’ coating campaign for the Bonga North deepwater project, located in waters exceeding 1,000 meters off the Nigerian coast. The campaign was completed on an accelerated schedule.
The company said the investment brings advanced coating technologies closer to customers and strengthens local industrial capabilities to support Nigeria’s offshore energy sector.
Tenaris marked the upgrade while also celebrating 25 years of operations in Nigeria, during which it has invested in local capabilities to support complex energy developments.
Tenaris is a global manufacturer of seamless and welded steel pipe products for the energy industry. The company operates an integrated industrial network with manufacturing facilities in North and South America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, supplying OCTG, line pipe and premium tubular solutions to oil and gas producers worldwide.
