Indian stainless steel producer Jindal Stainless and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) have renewed their Lubricants Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) partnership for another five years, extending their long-standing collaboration on lubricant and energy supplies.
The agreement was signed at Jindal Stainless’ Hisar unit. The renewed arrangement covers lubricant supplies and builds on the companies’ broader cooperation in energy requirements. Indian Oil also supplies LDO, HSD, LSHS and propane to Jindal Stainless.
The partnership is intended to support equipment reliability and manufacturing continuity through dependable lubrication and energy supplies. The companies said the extended agreement will also provide scope for further technical cooperation as industrial requirements evolve.
Jindal Stainless, India’s largest stainless steel producer, has an annual melt capacity of 4.2 mln tons. The company operates 16 manufacturing and processing facilities across India, Spain, and Indonesia, along with a global network spanning 12 countries. Its product portfolio includes slabs, coils, plates, sheets, precision strips, blade steel, and coin blanks.
