Turkish steel producer Cemtas Celik has announced plans to strengthen its export activities in Europe by opening a new branch office in Germany. The decision was approved by the company’s board of directors.
According to a filing with the stock exchange, the new office, located in Kempen, will support Cemtas in maintaining its existing client base while attracting new customers. The branch will operate as an affiliate of the company’s headquarters in Bursa, Turkey.
Founded in 1970, Cemtas specializes in producing a wide range of steel types, including bearing steel, free-cutting steel, lead steel, spring steel, and tool steel. The company operates a melt shop with an annual production capacity of 193,204 tons and a rolling mill capable of producing 207,360 tons annually.
