Trafilix upgrades Brescia plant with high-speed chain-track drawing machine

Trafilix, part of the Lucefin Group, is investing in its Brescia facility in Italy with the installation of a new high-speed chain-track drawing machine from local equipment maker Danieli Centro Maskin. The machine, with a pulling capacity of 5 tons, will produce round, square, and hexagonal solid bars from wire rod.

Danieli’s chain-track technology ensures high-quality surfaces, speeds of up to 200 m/min for ferrous materials, and efficient, high-precision process control.

This unit complies with Industry 4.0 standards and can be integrated with Danieli’s latest digital systems (D-CMS) for real-time condition monitoring to prevent outages and improve plant efficiency. The equipment was manufactured at Danieli’s workshops in Buttrio, Italy.

Trafilix produces a variety of cold-drawn, ground, and peeled steel products, including flats, rounds, squares, hexagons, and special profiles.
