Acciaierie Venete orders new straightening line for Padova Works

Italian steelmaker Acciaierie Venete has once again partnered with Danieli Centro Maskin, ordering a second straightening line for its Padova Works. This new, fully automated line is designed for high productivity, capable of straightening SBQ black bars up to 200 mm in diameter with a maximum yield strength of 1350 N/mm.

The advanced system, featuring state-of-the-art equipment and process control from Danieli Automation, is expected to deliver up to 15pct energy savings and faster line set-up times. It is also Industry 4.0 compliant, ready for integration with Danieli’s latest digital systems, including the Danieli Condition Monitoring System (D-CMS). D-CMS improves process efficiency by monitoring sensor data to reduce unplanned maintenance, support proactive planning, and optimize spare parts procurement and investment strategies.
