INOXAP commissions ASU at SAIL Bokaro plant

INOX Air Products (INOXAP), one of India’s leading industrial gas manufacturers, has commissioned its largest Air Separation Unit (ASU) to date at the Steel Authority of India’s (SAIL) Bokaro Plant. The new facility, with an installed capacity of 2,150 tons per day (TPD), marks a significant milestone for the company.

The project is INOXAP’s largest greenfield oxygen plant investment in India. It is also the largest ASU ever installed at any SAIL facility nationwide, the company highlighted in a press release.

The state-of-the-art ASU will produce a range of industrial gases, including 2,000 TPD of gaseous oxygen, 150 TPD of liquid oxygen, 1,200 TPD of gaseous nitrogen, and 100 TPD of argon.

INOXAP already operates a 1,250 TPD ASU at the Bokaro Plant. With the addition of the new facility, the combined production capacity at SAIL’s Bokaro Plant now exceeds 6,300 TPD across all gases.
