Kingdom Holding Company has announced the resumption of construction and concrete pouring for Jeddah Tower, with the presence of Chairman Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, CEO Eng. Talal Al-Maiman, and representatives from prominent real estate and architectural firms.
Jeddah Tower, designed to surpass 1,000 meters in height, is poised to claim the title of the world’s tallest building upon completion. The project, with an estimated cost of USD 26 bln, is expected to be finalized within the next three and a half years.
Originally launched in 2013, construction was halted in early 2018 during Saudi Arabia’s nationwide anti-corruption drive led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The campaign saw the detention of several individuals linked to the project, including the chairman of Binladin Group, the main contractor.
