Germany’s GMH Gruppe has commissioned a new state-of-the-art Kocks Reducing & Sizing Block (RSB 445++/4) at its Georgsmarienhutte facility, enhancing product quality, dimensional accuracy, and rolling flexibility. Designed to operate across two independent rolling lines, the mobile RSB is now the largest and most advanced Kocks block in Europe.
Jointly developed for high-precision bar steel production, the RSB 445++/4 delivers superior tolerances and surface quality while allowing seamless movement between rolling lines to maximize planning flexibility. It works in combination with the existing RSB 370++/6 when required.
Engineered from the ground up, the new unit includes a full technology package featuring remote control, updated roll-shop equipment, Bamicon Octopus automation software, and the latest 4D Eagle S measuring gauge for real-time quality assurance.
